Now I want to move towards ERP Solutions, Can you tell me whether going towards SAP is right option now

this is a very good decision.the database which is used in SAP is also Oracle only.SAP is well established in market when compared to oracle.SAP is most user friendly than oracle.SAP in partioned into 3 areas-
1. technical ,2. functional, 3. basis
in technical,we have ABAP .here we have to write codings for the specs issued by the functional people.
in functional,we have many modules (sd,mm,pp,hr,....)
and basis deals with networking.if there is any problem while working in SAP environment ,basis will come into picture.
note:take decisions from others but select the module that suits u
